The 4th episode of Planning meets housing will discuss the innovative solutions for delivering affordable and sustainable housing.
With the City of Amsterdam we will explore their innovative housing models that place collaboration, collective governance, and new land and financing mechanisms at the heart of housing development.
The session will introduce approaches such as housing cooperatives, Collective Private Commissioning (CPO) and Community Land Trusts and examine how they can contribute to housing affordability, high-quality living environments and resilient communities.
Beyond the presentation of practical and inspiring examples, the webinar will discuss the conditions that enable such initiatives to flourish, including supportive regulatory frameworks, financing mechanisms, the role of public authorities, and collaboration between housing and spatial planning stakeholders.
